Charlene Peffer - Principal

Charlene started studying dance at an early age and has now been teaching dance for 16 years. Her dancing experience has included training with David Atkins and Dean Perry, which lead her to performing on stage throughout Australia and abroad. After dancing professionally for many years in the entertainment industry, Charlene made a name for herself as a stand out performer and Choreographer. With her training and experience, Charlene has become a highly respected teacher. Charlene completed her R.A.D (Royal Academy of Dance), Certificate of Ballet Teaching studies in 2008. Charlene is now a qualified R.A.D teacher allowing her to send graded and vocational students for their R.A.D exams and is currently working towards her A.R.A.D in Ballet. Charlene motivates her students by sharing her passion for dance and is continually driven by the talent and excitement that her students demonstrate. Charlene encourages her students to set themselves achievable goals and loves to watch their talent and confidence grow as they continue to improve every year. |
Cathy Maher

Cathy’s love of performing arts first started with her training in Tap and Jazz (F.A.T.D) and Ballet (Cecchetti), Vocal Studies with Patricia Ortell and Patricia Johnson and Drama Studies with the Australian Academy of Dramatic Art. Cathy quickly moved into the exciting world of professional entertainment. In this time, Cathy has toured Japan, Singapore and Malaysia performing in various productions for Cartoon Network and Dance Encore Productions and to New Zealand as a Performer in the ‘Just for laughs’ Comedy Festival. In Australia, Cathy performed as a Full Time Singer/Dancer at Wonderland Sydney and Comedy Theatre Restaurants and has Choreographed for various Club Shows and Trade Expo Shows. Cathy’s love of Musical Theatre led her to perform in productions such as Jesus Christ Superstar, 42nd Street, Dames at Sea, Anything Goes and more, for various Australian Theatre Companies. Now, Cathy is going into her 8th year as a full time teacher and is thrilled to have the opportunity to pass on her experience and love of the Arts, teaching Dance and Musical Theatre at Impact Dance. |
Cassandra Lee

Cassandra has been teaching for over 20 years. She began dancing at the age of 8 studying Jazz, Tap and Classical Ballet. She performed in numerous eisteddfods, fashion parades and live club shows. After deciding to pursue her passion for teaching, Cassandra opened her own studio in 1993, along with her sister. Throughout 12 successful years, she trained her students up to an elite level, with many becoming National Dance Champions. Their studio, C & R Lee Dance Academy, was seen as one of the best in the West. Cassandra is an Accredited Tap Teacher and Assessor with Australian Dance Vision and also has the role of Teacher Tutor at the associations annual workshops. For 5 straight years, she coordinated the popular Get Up and Dance Festival and now stages annual Talent Quests at the Bonnyrigg Plaza Shopping Centre. In 2006, Cassandra handed over her studio to Charlene Peffer, who has been a long-time friend and associate. She is thrilled and excited to be a part of C & R Lee Dance Academy's future, as a division of Impact Dance. |
Kate Byrnes

Kate began dancing at age 5 and has studied all facets of dance including Ballet (RAD), Tap (LGTDA), Jazz/Funk/Hip Hop, Modern/Contemporary and National Character. She has completed all RAD ballet examinations up to Advanced 2, and has studied the Cecchetti ballet method. In 2007, she graduated from the Australian College of Physical Education with a 4 year degree in Bachelor of Dance Education. This enables Kate to teach Dance and PDHPE in schools K-12. Kate currently works at a high school in the Blue Mountains and has established a dance program which is highly regarded in the area. Continuing with her passion for Ballet, Kate completed the Certificate of Ballet Teaching Studies through the Royal Academy of Dance in 2007. This enables her to teach and prepare students for their graded and vocational examinations. |
Tenille Stephenson

Tenille grew up & trained in Far North Qld in many styles of dance including R.A.D Ballet, I.S.T.D & F.A.T.D Tap & Modern, Spanish and Highland. Persuing her dream to dance, Tenille 'migrated' south to Melbourne where she studied full time dance under some of the best known choreographers to date. Taking on the commercial world of entertainment led Tenille to Stage Shows Nationally & Internationally. Performing in major events such as, The Opening Ceremony for the Special Olympics in Japan, The Ground Breaking Ceremony for Hong Kong Disneyland and the outdoor show 'Sail Away' at Tokyo Disney Sea are a few shows she is particularly proud of. From dancing with Disney characters to donning 'feathers & sparkles', Tenille moved on to perform in Cabaret shows at the Cairns Reef Casino. Combining her many years of training and professional experience, Tenille's work is inspired by her jazz, classical background along with her clean, strong style. Tenille's passion for dance will motivate her students to exceed their own expectations. |
